A Florida Deer in the Bush
The beautiful deer above is similar to the ones that we see frequently in the Ocala National Forest near our home. They have many enemies and are often hunted illegally by those who feel that their lives have little meaning except to be eaten!
Driving home yesterday from the St. John's River area, we spotted a family along side the road, a young mother with her 2 babies. They stood silently staring at us for a moment and then turned and ran into the Forest. They live a precarious life, one I would not like to have.
